The simulation has many weird behaviors and that-should've-been-tested edge cases. I've enjoyed it and I'm likely to keep playing it, but I can't recommend it to others.. Whether you care about the environment or just like a good turn based strategy game, Fate of the World provides interesting gameplay mechanics overlayed with an intricate global environment which makes it unique, challenging, interesting and educational.. I love this game, but our relationship is complicated.I bought this back in 2011. I got frustrated and uninstalled it several time since then.I don't think I've played it since 2014, but here in 2018 I still wake up at night thinking about a new strategy I want to try next time I work up the courage to install it.. I really hope they update or relase a new version now that we know we're all gonna die without immediate and massive systemic change. I nominated this for the STeam Award 'I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye' Award for 2016.. One of my favorite new turn-based strategy games. It does an incredible job modeling the complex interactions between energy needs and human welfare in different regions, while still remaining simple to learn and a joy to play.. The scariest game on Steam.
